HOT

In order to understand what would be considered a HOT disorder, in traditional terms, it is important to understand that whether, hot, cold or wind, there are associated element(s). There are also associated qualities and tastes.  There are also associated mental-emotional causes.  The increase of certain elements/qualities/tastes/mental-emotional stress will increase the "coldness", "hotness", or "windiness".

ELEMENTS: FIRE

(If an already high concentration of FIRE  exists, then  more WIND can also increase the heat).  More fire element will increase the hot condition.

It moves primarily through the blood, eyes, liver, gall bladder, and small intestine.

QUALITIES that increase FIRE are also qualities of a hot condition:

Lightness, sharpness, slight oiliness, hotness, humidity/moistness, purgative, bad smell.

MENTAL - EMOTIONAL STRESS:

Hatred, aggression and anger increases a hot condition.

In Sowa Rigpa Hot and Cold disease are called Tripa,(literally Bile) and Bedkan (literally soil-water).   Wind, called Rloong is seen as a combination of consciousness and "life energy".  These 3 are called "Nyespa" which like the word "Dosha" in Ayurveda literally means FAULT.   These three energies can be seen as cause and effect of the compensatory power of the body.  Always changing and meeting new stresses and shortcomings of the body, balance is found and consistently new challenges immediately arise.  In health the adaptability and compensatory power is sufficient to keep apparent stability in the health.  In disease this ability decreases, balance becomes harder to establish, and illness ensues.
