Studying the human body has always been a passion of mine. I have explored the world and value human connection. I was married for 13 years and have two beautiful daughters. I have travelled the world and have lived on four continents in several intentional communities, growing foods, medicines and learning about human relationship. I am dedicating my time to understanding regenerative culture so that my life and work, in medicine and human relationship, can be part of an honorable legacy.
I studied at University level as a Biology major in the early 1990's for almost 4 years. My Studies were always done from the focus of many different healing modalities that I was also studying. In the late 1990's I began practicing UL Craniosacral therapy, and deepened my knowledge of Ayurveda working as a yoga teacher and therapist at the Growing Edge in Big Sur, CA.
I first visited India, China, Nepal and Tibet in 1991.
I received certificate of 500 hour study from National Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine in 1998, and studied Pancha Karma under Dr Vishundas Kannan of Kerala, India in 2004. I received teachings in Siddha Medicine from Dr Shivaraj and Dr. Charles in Auroville, India. I also studied Marma/Varma with ASIRAM in Pondicheri, India.
In 2010 I began my formal studies in Sowa Rigpa and immediately began replacing many Naturopathic approaches, that I had been utilizing with the traditional remedial measures of Sowa Rigpa.
In the summers of 2013 and 2014 I studied and practiced external therapies of Sowa Rigpa in Amdo, Tibet at the top and famous all Sowa Rigpa Hospital in Malo, under the direction of my primary teacher Dr. Nida Chenagtsang. I also received teachings in Xining at the Tibetan Medicine College there.
I received certification in the foundation of Tibetan Medicine by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, and was immensely blessed to have witnessed such an amazing doctor and human being. I continue to study and review concepts with Dr. Nida whenever possible, and feel indebted to him for revealing a lifetime of encouragement and consideration.
I was also certified in the foundation of Tibetan Medicine by Tibetan Medicine Education, a distant learning program organized by Dr Pasang Arya who was the administrator of Mentzekhang, the Dalai Lama's Tibetan Medicine College in Dharmsala, India.
My thorough knowledge of various modern alternative healing modalities allows me to understand my clients' journeys of healing and wellness, and offer them practical advice accordingly.
I have been trained in several subtle energy modalities of healing, including emotional release of severe trauma. I primarily utilize "parts work" and the Completion Process, an exceptionally effective method taught by Teal Swan for emotional integration, and helpful in almost any disorder.
The dynamic connection of emotions, energy and traditional elemental healing theories supports the use of this kind of healing work in the traditional healing approaches I use.
I was also certified in Chinese Acupuncture Concepts in Indonesia, with Dr. Acu, the overseer of Acupuncture licensing and certification of all of Indonesia.
I spent several months in a clinic studying with Dr. Mohammad Sahel Ansari, an integrative practitioner of Unani medicine, formally at Pondicheri and Auroville, India, and descendant/lineage holder of the doctors to the kings of the Mogul empire. Now lives in Turkey.
I have a wide scope of practical and clinical experience with different natural remedies and alternative holistic healing.
I have studied and have clinical experience in many healing modalities from Radionics, Reiki, "Soul retrieval", raw food / juicing, fasting , bioterrain analysis, Craniosacral Therapy and Live-blood analysis/observation, to Naturopathy, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Ayurveda and Tibetan Medicine.
I have apprenticed in the clinics of physical therapists, master Nutritionists, Acupuncturists, and doctors of Unani, Siddha, Ayurvedic and Tibetan medicine(Sowa Rigpa).
I spent 7 years living and travelling in South America, Asia and the far East.
My studies have taken me throughout Europe, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Nepal and parts of China that were once the country of Tibet.
In addition to my general practice I operate free clinics for persons that are economically challenged, and give public presentations on the history and basic foundations of Sowa Rigpa, and the importance of trusting the design of Nature, especially within your own body.
